Transform the way leadership teams think about strategy in order to ensure that the team is ready and able to beat the competition. Every organization must have an aspirational vision, or destination, which is time bound. The organizational strategy is created against the aspirational vision and the execution activities are aligned, at every level, function and geography, throughout the organization. Mission Planning will challenge current strategies as well help create new ones against a single, stated and aspiring vision.

Mission Planning.
Mission Analysis clarifies the alignment of the business strategy throughout the leadership of an organization. These cascading sessions help drive clarity and alignment through the organization so that every individual fully understands their Part in the Plan, their operating boundaries, and what the priorities are to achieve their Mission. Transparency, accountability, confidence and commitment are all desired outcomes. The Mission Status Review (MSR) process, conducted as regular follow up meetings, provides long-term handrail support and discipline for teams to truly adopt the ML philosophy and achieve their Missions throughout the fiscal year.

Having cascaded the plan prior to execution we pressure test it. The key is to objectively test assumptions, face risks, encounter unknowns and pressure test the execution of the plan. Every Mission should be rehearsed and checked before executing. Competitor and Market events are actively promoted by supporting teams to challenge the strategy and leadership of the business. Key outcomes include a better-aligned plan with increased chances for success, identified contingencies and confidence within the team.

Operational Rehearsal.
It is not enough to simply know where you are going, but it is essential to have the right culture in place. This is a high performance culture, the ability to run at the pace of the fastest person, with excellent behaviors and operating standards. A high performing team helps unlock the competitive advantage, create a streamlined way of working and is always looking to improve on yesterday’s performance. This is not team building, we provide a roadmap/scorecard for the team in order to teach them the behaviors they need to become a High Performing Team. The HPT session and follow-up process establish the HPT behaviors in individuals and teams – these behaviors are needed to achieve extraordinary results.

In order to drive extraordinary performance, there is a need to view performance in a timely, transparent and effective manner. This is conducted through the Mission Leadership Dashboard, which drives accountability and transparency throughout the organization. Think about your car dashboard and how important it is – drive too fast without looking at the dashboard, you will run out of fuel and look at it for too long and you will crash your car!
